Time: Friday May 26, 3 p.m.
Venue: Ravine Room, Gallagher Centre

This will be the Saskatchewan premiere of In the Name of Confucius documentary. Director Doris Liu will be attending and taking questions at the Q&A session after the screening. The screening is free of admission, and in a first come first serve fashion. You just need to show up at the venue before the screening time!

The 52 min film has won a number of international film awards since its completion in June 2016, including a Humanitarian Award at the Accolade Global Film Competition earlier this year.

Each year, the juries of the Yorkton Film Festival select about a hundred Canadian films under 60 minutes as nominees in the festival’s 20 categories and sub-categories. Less than half of the nominated films will be screened during the festival. And all nominated films will be open to public at the festival’s online mini-cinema located at the Gallagher Centre where anyone can go and watch the film from a computer for free.
